Philippines

Don Tomás Bautista Mapúa was a Filipino architect, educator, politician and businessman from the Philippines. He was the founder and first president of the Mapua University. Gonzalo T. Vales as co-founder and founding dean of school and co-founder and founding president of Central Colleges of the Philippines, after he established the school on January 25, 1925. He was the first registered architect in the Philippines, Manila councilor and first worked at the Philippine Bureau of Public Works. He later established his own construction company, the MYT Construction Works, Inc.

Juan Marcos Arellano y de Guzmán, was a Filipino architect, best known for Manila's Metropolitan Theater (1935), Legislative Building, the Manila Central Post Office Building (1926), the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (1934), the Central Student Church, the old Jaro Municipal Hall (1934) and the Old Iloilo City Hall (1935) in Iloilo, the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol (1936), the Cebu Provincial Capitol (1937), Dumaguete Presidencia (1937), the Bank of the Philippine Islands Cebu Main Branch (1940), Misamis Occidental Provincial Capitol Building (1935), Cotabato Municipal Hall (1940), the Jones Bridge during the pre-war era and the Bahay Pangulo (1930s) in the Malacañang Palace.

George Esslemont Gordon Leith, AADip, Hon. DArch (1885–1965) was a South African architect. His work evolved from Edwardian to Modernist, vividly representing stylistic developments typical in architecture during the first half of the 20th century. He is known for his classicist designs of official bodies such as banks, town halls and colleges. In the 1930s, he was among the first South Africans using the 'New Style', before turning to the Modernist form. On Leith's Royal Institute of British Architects application form, Sir Herbert Baker wrote: "He wins golden opinions everywhere for his keenness in the profession and sterling character."

New Zealand

Edmund Anscombe was one of the most important figures to shape the architectural and urban fabric of New Zealand. He was important, not only because of the prolific nature of his practice and the quality of his work, but also because of the range and the scale of his built and speculative projects. These extended from conventional essays to monumental urban schemes informed by his international travel, especially in America. His influence was specifically felt in Dunedin, Wellington, and the rebuild of Hastings following the 1931 Hawkes Bay Earthquake. He also realised projects in Alexandra, Invercargill, Palmerston, Palmerston North, Rotorua, Waimate North and Wānaka. His key works include the 1925–26 New Zealand and South Seas International Exhibition, the 1940 New Zealand Centennial Exhibition, the Herd Street Post and Telegraph building, Anscombe Flats, the Empire Deluxe theatre and his work on the clocktower complex – including specifically the Archway Building and Marama Hall – effectively re-conceiving the design of the University of Otago's historical core. William Charles Chatfield was a New Zealand architect. He was born in Sussex and educated in Brixton, Surrey. He moved to New Zealand at the age of 16. In 1886 he designed the Wellington Opera House, which burnt down 2 years later. Two of his remaining buildings are the Star Boating Club and the Stewart Dawson's Building.

Gummer and Ford was an architectural firm founded in 1923 in Auckland, New Zealand, by William Gummer and Charles Reginald Ford. It was among the country's best-regarded architectural firm of the first half of the 20th century, designing numerous iconic buildings, including the former National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum in Wellington and the old Auckland railway station. Eighteen of the company's buildings have been registered as significant historic places by Heritage New Zealand. In 2006 an exhibition of their work was staged at The University of Auckland's Gus Fisher Gallery, and in 2007 the firm was described as 'the best architectural practice of all time in New Zealand'.

Te Herenga Waka University Press or THWUP is the book publishing arm of Victoria University of Wellington, located in Wellington, New Zealand. It publishes scholarly works, fiction and poetry. As of 2025, the press has published almost 1,000 books and has a core staff of five, plus editorial interns.

Francis Gordon Wilson was a New Zealand architect. Wilson oversaw the design of New Zealand’s state housing programme from the 1930s onwards. He was the New Zealand Government Architect at the time of his death.

Warren and Mahoney is an international full-service architecture and design practice - one of the few fourth generation architectural practices globally. It is a highly awarded architectural practice, with offices in New Zealand and Australia. It was recognised in 2023 as 'one of the world's most innovative architecture practices' for "creating a comprehensive indigenous design focus relevant to its work in New Zealand and beyond".

Ole Scheeren is a German architect, urbanist and principal of Büro Ole Scheeren with offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Berlin and Bangkok and was a visiting professor at the University of Hong Kong from January 2010.

Karl Siegfried Döhring was a German architect, art historian and archaeologist. He lived mostly in Siam, now called Thailand.

France

Jean Desbois was a French architect who rose to fame during the 20th century and left significant landmarks in France and in Cambodia such as the Central Market in Phnom Penh.

Australia · United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland

Richard George Suter was an English architect who migrated to Queensland, Australia. Many of his buildings are now heritage-listed.

Arthur Charles Alfred Norman (1858–1944), often referred to as A. C. Norman, was a British architect who was active in Malaya at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of 20th century. Some of the most important colonial era buildings of Kuala Lumpur built in that period were credited to him, although many of these also involved other architects of the period.

Singapore

Hijjas bin Kasturi is a Malaysian architect. Active for more than fifty years, he has been responsible for some of the most significant buildings in South East Asia, in the modern, postmodern, and deconstructivist styles. He is considered the father of Malaysian architecture of the second half of the twentieth century.
